A Grateful Prayer to our God of Delights

Father God Almighty,

YOU are truly THE treasure of all treasures and the greatest delight of our hearts! Our hearts are full to overflowing as You have poured out Your richest blessings on the Siesta Scripture Memory Verse Celebration! Thank You for Your servant Beth who has shown us what it means to truly love you with all of our hearts! Thank You for Amanda, Melissa, and all of the LPM staff who made this weekend happen! Thank You for Travis and the gift that You have given Him to lead us into Your presence through worship! Thank you for the precious siestas who love you and want to follow You through the good times and the hard times. Thank You for celebrations, for the gift of laughter, for Texas chocolate sheet cake, for pink boas, for the sunshine, for GPS's even when they get overwhelmed by Houston, and for sidewalks that are there when we need them. :)

Most of ALL thank You for the treasure of Your Word that gives us the truth that we so desperately need to make it through world that is NOT our home.

In the Precious Name of Jesus,
Amen

    …You are my servant; I have chosen YOU and NOT cast you off;

    THEN your righteousness will go before you,
    and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
    THEN you will call, and the LORD will answer;
    You will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I.

    Isaiah 35:3
    STRENGTHEN the feeble hands,
    STEADY the knees that give way;
    SAY to those with fearful hearts,
    “Be strong, do not fear; your God WILL COME,
    He WILL COME with vengeance; with divine retribution.
    HE WILL COME to save you.”

    Psalms 116:7
    Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.

    Hebrews 10:35-36
    So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded,
    YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE so that when you have done the will of God,
    You will receive what He has promised.

    Psalms 62:5 – 6
    Find rest, O my soul, in God ALONE; my hope comes from Him.
    He ALONE is my rock and my salvation,
    He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

    Jeremiah 33:6 [HCB]
    Yet I WILL CERTAINLY bring health and healing to it
    And WILL INDEED heal them.
    I WILL let them experience the abundance of peace and truth.

    Hebrews 12:1-2a
    Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,

    LET US fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith…

    Psalms 112: 1-4
    Praise the Lord.
    Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands.

    Acts 10:37a-38
    You know… how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power,
    and how He went around doing good
    and healing all who were under the power of the devil,
    because God was with Him.

    Romans 8:31-32
    What then shall we say in response to this?

    He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all –
    How will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us ALL things?
    Revelations 17:14

    Romans 4:20-21

    Romans 8:35, 37

    Isaiah 45:2-3
    I will go before you and will level the mountains;
    I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.

    so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel,
    who summons you by name.

    Psalms 27:4
    ONE thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek;
    That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
    To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple
